Classification
Oil seals are generally divided into single and assembled types. Assembled refers to the free combination of the skeleton and lip material, usually used for special oil seals.
The sealing function, characteristics, structural type, working conditions, and sealing mechanism of oil seals can be divided into various forms and different terms. However, rotary shaft lip seals are commonly referred to as oil seals, and seals that seal both static and dynamic seals (typically reciprocating motion) are referred to as seals.
The representative form of oil seal is TC oil seal, which is a double lip oil seal with self tightening springs and is completely covered by rubber. Generally speaking, oil seals usually refer to this type of tc skeleton oil seal.
Oil seal action
Due to the numerous brands and models of automobiles, there are various types of oil seals. Oil seals are mainly classified by medium, shape, spring, lip shape, rotational speed (high and low speed), pressure (high and low pressure), and fluid dynamics.
1、Can be classified according to the type of sealing medium: gas seal oil seal, liquid seal oil seal, grease seal oil seal;
2、Can be classified according to seal shape: rotating shaft oil seal (internal seal), rotating housing oil seal (external seal);
3、According to structure, it can be divided into: skeleton oil seal (mainly divided into exposed skeleton oil seal and inner wrapped skeleton oil seal), frameless oil seal, and composite oil seal;
4、Can be classified according to the presence or absence of spring oil seals: with spring type oil seals (with spring or finger spring oil seals), without spring oil seals;
5、Oil seals can be classified according to the number of lip shapes: single lip oil seals, double lip oil seals (there are two types of dust lip oil seals or split double lip oil seals);
6、According to the linear speed of rotation, it can be divided into: low speed oil seal (standard low linear speed<8m/s), medium speed oil seal (standard linear speed 8-17m/s), and high speed oil seal (standard linear speed>17m/s);
7、It can be classified according to whether there is a hydrodynamic oil return effect: ordinary smooth oil seals, oil seals with oil return pipes at the lip;
8、According to the pressure of oil seal medium, it can be divided into: low pressure oil seal, high pressure oil seal;
