Installation of filters in hydraulic systems
1. Installed at the oil suction port of the oil pump
The filter is required to have a large flow capacity and small resistance, and its flow rate should be more than twice the flow rate of the oil pump to prevent cavitation.
It is mainly used to protect the hydraulic pump, but the wear products generated in the hydraulic pump will still enter the system. Generally, filters with lower filtering accuracy are used.
2. Installed at the oil outlet of the oil pump
This filter should be able to withstand the working pressure and impact pressure on the oil circuit; In order to prevent the hydraulic pump from being overloaded or the filter element from being damaged when the filter is clogged, it is advisable to connect a bypass valve or an indication device in series on the pressure oil circuit.
This method is commonly used in systems with high filtering accuracy requirements and in front of servo valves and speed regulating valves to ensure their normal operation.
3. Installed on the oil return road
We call it a return oil filter, which can filter out metal chips and rubber particles generated after the wear of hydraulic components, and protect the cleanliness of the fluid flowing back to the tank.
It is allowed to use filters with lower filter element strength and stiffness; In order to prevent the system pressure from increasing due to clogging of the filter element, it is necessary to connect the filter in parallel with the one-way valve to act as a bypass valve.
4. Independent bypass filtration
In the hydraulic system of large machinery, an independent filtering system composed of hydraulic pumps and filters can be specially installed to continuously remove impurities in the system and improve the cleanliness of the oil.
