When will I change my truck's air dryer

Depending on how often you use the truck and the tractor, the air dryer for heavy trucks needs to be replaced at different intervals. Keeping the air dryer maintenance up to date can save you a lot of money because your truck's air system will remain clean and its performance will continue to be first-class. The consequences of irregular maintenance of the air dryer may cause oil to enter the air line and may cause a series of problems, including affecting the air discharge cycle and shortening the service life of the air hose due to oil accumulation.

As an industry leader in providing air dryers, AYREST recommends different replacement cycles for different heavy truck transport applications (standard, medium and advanced).

For standard truck transport levels (typically pickup/delivery operations), AYREST recommends that you replace the air dryer every 200000 miles or 24 months. In this application, you should also check the moisture in the dryer every 25000 miles or three months.

For trucks with medium truck transport level, you should replace the air dryer every 150000 miles or 18 months if it is a light transport or tow dual trailer. In addition, medium air trucks should be checked for humidity every 12000 miles or two months.

Finally, for heavy trucks with the highest air usage, AYREST recommends replacing the air dryer every 100,000 miles or 12 months. These applications include garbage trucks, school buses, etc. These high air usage trucks need to be checked for moisture and reservoir drainage every 6000 miles or 1 month.

Although these may be the standards recommended by AYREST, it is important to consider the age of your truck and its specific needs.
