Can you see the fault from the exhaust color?
When the novice owner found that the exhaust pipe was smoking, he knew that the car was malfunctioning, but he was still very busy and confused. In fact, in this case, as long as you can judge the car fault from the smoke color, you don't need to panic.
1.Blue smoke
Performance: the explosive force of the vehicle is reduced, the acceleration is weak, the noise is increased, there is blue smoke in the exhaust pipe, there is burning smell generated by oil combustion, and the oil consumption is increased.
Cause: Most of the blue smoke is caused by the engine internal failure, which leads to the oil channeling into the combustion chamber for combustion.
Solution: often check the sealing of cylinder block, piston and other parts; Add an appropriate amount of engine oil and regularly check the use of engine oil. In case of abnormal fuel consumption, go to the maintenance workshop for maintenance in time.
2.Black smoke
Performance: The engine shakes greatly, the exhaust pipe makes abnormal noise, and emits black smoke at the same time. Feels weak when accelerating.
Cause: This situation mostly occurs in carburetor vehicles. Too much fuel enters the cylinder and then is discharged out of the vehicle before combustion, resulting in black smoke.
Solution: regularly check the aging degree of carburetor and other components, and regularly maintain and adjust them; Check the cylinder pipeline of the EFI vehicle every 30000 km and the spark plug every 10000 km. If there is any problem, replace it in time.
3.White smoke
Performance: The engine runs unevenly. When the engine is preheated to the normal operating temperature, there is still a large amount of water vapor and a large amount of white water vapor.
Cause: The cylinder gasket of the engine cylinder is worn, resulting in a certain gap, causing a large amount of water in the cooling system to enter the combustion chamber. Water cannot burn, and it will produce water vapor after heating, which will be discharged directly from the exhaust pipe.
Solution: check whether the engine block and cylinder gasket are damaged, and check whether there is water in the oil tank; Check the vehicle manual and add the correct gasoline in strict accordance with the manufacturer's regulations.
4.Grey smoke:
The soot may be caused by the rupture of the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation valve) of the vehicle, or the leakage of engine coolant and the failure of the turbocharger.
